The Spirits Industry

Everyone has heard the term “spirit” but what exactly is that? Essentially, spirits have a higher alcohol content and are created through distillation. Some are also dependent on geographical location of where they’re distilled to determine what exactly they are classified as. There are six categories that spirits are divided into. They are as follows:

  • Tequila
  • Gin
  • Vodka
  • Whiskey (Scotch, Rye, Bourbon)
  • Rum
  • Brandy

While our name is Spirits Staffing, we don’t limit ourselves to just those types of alcohol. We’re here to help the beer and wine spaces find intelligent and talented candidates to fill all roles their organization needs to be successful too.

Hemp Cannabinoids

Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds found in cannabis. Over 100 cannabinoids exist, but THC and CBD are the most well known. Delta 9 THC is the main compound responsible for producing psychoactive effects when consumed.
THC is used most commonly known for its recreational use, but its medicinal benefits have become more notable in recent years. Medicinal uses for cannabis include:

  • Decreasing stress and anxiety
  • Reduced inflammation and pain relief
  • Increased appetite
  • Kills certain types of cancer cells and slows tumor growth

Recreational use is limited to those ages 21 and over. The cannabis industry has been growing exponentially in the 2010s and 2020s. For this reason, producers are hiring for roles ranging from growers and retailers to sales and C-Level positions. Let us give you the competitive advantage that comes with hiring the absolute best talent.

Non-Hemp Cannabinoids

Contrary to popular belief, not all cannabis is created equal (and we’re not talking about the high). CBD is the non-psychoactive aspect of cannabis that is primarily utilized for minor relief of stress and anxiety, typically consumed in the form of drops or edibles. CBD is legal in the United States at the federal level, but some states only allow it for medicinal use.
Other forms of non-hemp derived cannabis include Delta 8, Delta 10, THC-O, THC-P, and HHC. These different compounds contain a small amount of THC, but the potency how it is created varies between each type.
Naturally produced cannabinoids:

  • CBD
  • Delta 8 THC
  • THC-P

Synthetically produced cannabinoids:

  • Delta 10
  • THC-O
  • HHC

Many of these are not as regulated since they are relatively new to the market, but have already had a lasting impact on the cannabis industry as a whole.
